Project: Outoor Standee
To promote the "Da Vinci Alive" exhibition celebrating the works of Leonardo Da Vinci at The Science Museum of Richmond. The standee uses a cutout of the face of Mona Lisa with a platform on the back for people to stand on and have their picture taken which they could then post to social media using a hashtag to promote the exhibit. The standee was on display at Short Pump Town Center for eight weeks, which meant it had to be weatherproof and heavy enough to withstand the elements, before moving to the entranceway of the Science Museum of Virginia for the final weeks of the exhibit. Photo retouching included separate images of the wall and floor, the frame, and the nameplate and then compositing all images into one image to give the appearance of the painting hanging on a wall.
